Though the video may to the laymen appear to them that Matt is in shock, he said he actually enjoyed it. =)

Well, it's that time of the year again! We are having Matt's birthday party today at noon. He wanted a curious george theme so Christine and I found some party stuff and I made a CG cake. It came out pretty well, though I realized too late that I should have put the brown down first, then outlined it in black after.
However, I'm pretty happy with it, it's no Ace of Cakes but then again, I don't have a whole lot of experience icing cakes. I can make them! but I can't ice them :P btw the cake is a chocolate cake with chocolate chips in it.

We just got the pictures back that we had done of the children. Christine took some pictures of them with my camera but I should have some high rez scans soon. There is some damage on one of the photo's that we'll have replaced with a new one soon enough.

We had a great weekend, and a lot of fun! First, you have to ask yourself.. Would you mess with Pirate Captain Catie? I wouldn't..
Gods she loves this hat! She is always wearing it, running around the house with a smile.
Next is our trip to the Oakland Zoo

So a lot of people wonder.. "Marco, you must live a very glamours life tell us about it!"
Well lets see where to start? Thursday morning Catie got the stomach flu. She got sick a little over a half dozen times. Half those times were on me. The great part was she was feeling better a little over 6 hours later.
Friday morning Matt got the stomach flu. His illness played out much like Caties and he was feeling better later.
Friday afternoon I get the stomach flu. I'm sick from about 5pm to about midnight.
Friday night Christine gets the stomach flu. She's sick most of the night and is still feeling a little worse for wear.

So today we all went up into the city. The best part was that we all rode the CalTrain. Matt has been wanting to ride the train for weeks. I'm very happy we were able to do this for him. He's been BEAMING happy all afternoon.
As we were getting ready for bed we normally read Matt a story. The other day his school sent him home with a few books to read. One of them was all in Spanish. Well Christine and I don't read or speak a lot of Spanish. So Christine said.. "Matt next time you are at school say.. No Hablo Espanol." and Matt turns to her and goes. "No habla HBO" Some times that boy acts like a full blown comic. heheLabels: Catie Bug, Matt, MyNews

Matt's third day with his new camera =)
Please to enjoy the fun! Towards the end of the show you'll see some outside pics. Today we got a chance to go into the city and we went to a local park. He had a great time running around taking pictures. You can just barely make out Catie and I on a bench in one of them. He's sooo not into abusing the his papz status.
Total pictures taken 188.
Total Usable pictures: 93.

Matt's had his digital camera for about 2 days now and he's taken 2 full memory cards worth of pictures.. Like I said in the last post.. 140 pics in 20 minutes, and today was no different. 122 pictures in 20 minutes again.

So my Mother and Father got Matt a Fisher Price digital camera. It takes 640 by 480 pictures and can hold about 60 images. I put in a 16 meg SD card and now it can hold about double that.

All I can say is he loves it!! Matt took 142 pictures in 15 minutes... I would say he loves his camera. I'll probably put some more up here in a bit.. Since he's running around like a mad man taking more right now. I have deleted some of them as they were either just black or white =). I think he needs to learn that he doesn?t have to be .3 inches from his subject matter to use a flash.
I?m very proud of him at this point as he?s taken some good pictures. I also look forward to the pictures he?ll take in the future as I?m sure they will give us a peek inside his little mind. He?s a very creative boy, and I have no doubt that either myself or Christine will need to empty the camera every few hours for the first few weeks.

Weekend pictures of the kids. Catie at her FIRST solid cracker on Thursday, and had another one this weekend. She is doing great!! And in the pic with Christine and Matt, you can tell they are sooooo related! The first one is awesome.. Catie is already a gear head and techie!

We got Matt a halloween costume the other day for Matt. he's going to be Black Spider-man. Christine found a great deal. It was on clearance for 17 bucks, were as we were looking on ebay at around 25 bucks plus shipping. And this one is reversable!

It's a kind of crappy day out.. overcast, and a little chilly. I took these pics of Catie while she was in her baby "Jam" near the sliding door. I used the macro lens so I could get some good up close detail without having to worry about focus blur.
The second picture is again Catie, enjoying herself in her baby Jam.
This final shot is of Matt from the other day.
They are all so cute! Catie and Matt are growning up so FAST!

We just got done with Matts very first T-ball game. It was great! He did a great job and had alot of fun!! We are hanging at the Walmart for a bit then off to look at the new house. Should be home @5pm and ill upload the pictures.

Update!! I have changed out the video that was here previously with higher quality movies that are much easier to see. However, they are larger so be prepared.
